Healthy Travel Poster

The Minnesota Department of Health holds an annual contest for graphic design students. Copy text is provided for the contest participants to use.

My projects always begin with rough, preliminary sketches. I usually refine at least three, and move forward with the best one.

A board from the department reviewed initial entries and provided feedback. The final design resulted from feedback of the initial design below.

I created custom icons in Adobe Illustrator, and formatted the poster with Adobe InDesign according to margin and bleed specifications, as well as accessibility guidelines for legibility.

Although this design did not win the 2023 contest, these mockups demonstrate how the design may have looked on display.
